TRADE OF THE DAY
Probably would be the Sopel trade….putting Kesler on the Long Term Injury List was a very sneaky move by Nonis and this may just pay off big time for the Canucks. The Nucks didn’t give up that much for a very solid blueliner. Considering how Atlanta grossly overpaid for Tkachuk…Vancouver made out like bandits…..thanks to Kukla’s corner for the insight and the quick trade breaks.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN TOMORROW……..
Stay tuned because it will be full of fireworks for sure….or will it? That is the beauty of the trade deadline….it comes at 3PM EST…and even then…..it sorta drags out a few hours…hehe. It always does.
WHAT COULD HAPPEN TOMORROW……
Speculation runs rampid that a goalie like Bryzgalov could still be on the trade market along with Biron. Most of the waiver moves today were to try and clear some cap room to either make moves or obtain players. TheFouthPeriod.com reports the Preds and Pens have inquired about the services of Kings D Aaron Miller. The Devils and Ducks may try to claim Bryan Berard off the waiver wire. Guerin could still go to Detroit for picks. Nabokov rumors have resurfaced but don’t seem too likely as Toskala is still nursing a groin injury. The Avs are willing to part with players like Klee, Svatos, and Hejduk. Souray looks like he is likely staying put but you never know. It is going to be a wild day tomorrow…come join us at The NHL Arena for all the latest.
