This Day In Hockey History (1/7)

As we go down that road of moments, sometimes we stumble on those that are just too obvious to pass up.  Today is one of those times as we look at the Boston Bruins now and then try to see where they are compared to some past teams.  One team that went on a very long streak was the Philadelphia Flyers in 1980 but more recently 1997.  We found a moment from 14 years ago to share today along with a video.  Here it goes.

January 07, 1997

Flyers ran their undefeated streak to 14-0-3 (9th longest in NHL history) with a 7-3 win over the visiting Boston Bruins. Eric Lindros scored a goal and had two assists to give him points in 17 straight games.
