This Day In Hockey History (11/8)

When we think of saying goodbye, there are goodbyes that are sad beyond words.  This is just one of those moments that will put a tear in your eye even if you were not a Boston fan.  Here is today’s moment and simply we will let the video and moment explain everything from this day in 1978.

 

 

November 08, 1978


Bobby Orr announced his retirement from the NHL at a news conference in Chicago. His final career totals were 270 goals, 645 assists, 915 points in 657 games.

This Day In Hockey History (11/8)

Forgive us for the pun but today’s moment just lent itself to one.  Really how lucky can one get?  Just ask Luc sometime and here is his moment from 18 years ago today…..

 

 

November 08, 1992

Luc Robitaille scored his 9th career hat trick to become the 4th player in franchise history to score 300 goals as a member of the Kings. The milestone came in an 11-4 win over the Sharks.
