This Day In Hockey History (10/11)

Captains come and go in hockey but for some, their memories stand the tests of all time.  Today’s moment reflects the start of a captaincy that will live forever in Montreal lore.  This moment happened 50 years ago today and I am sure is being recollected in lots of places today, just not in Montreal.  First, we have a video and then the moment.  Oh, Fantasy Hockey ONE, will be out before tonight’s games and we apologize.

This Day In Hockey History (10/11)

People say we hate the Philadelphia Flyers, actually we do respect them.  For example, we even have a moment today on Bill Barber.  Now here it is.

Philadelphia Flyers retired Bill Barber’s uniform #7 in a pre-game ceremony before a 7-4 win over the Devils. Tony Horacek led the scoring with three assists.
