This Day In Hockey History (9/3)

There are just times where you sit there and go, “WOW!  That turned out to be a huge signing in the long run”.  The last decade has brought some not so good results from the FA Market for the New York Rangers but this one was pure gold.  Here is that moment from 20 years ago that some say pushed the Rangers over the top as they would win the Stanley Cup just three years later.  Now time for the video and moment of this day.

September 03, 1991

New York Rangers signed free agent Adam Graves.  Graves would not only go on to a 50 goal season for the Rangers but would help lead the Rangers to the 1994 Stanley Cup.  His number 9 would be retired on February 3rd, 2009.
