This Day In Hockey History (7/6)

It is kind of funny to see some former players that become more well known for what they do after their playing days are over.  For every Steve Yzerman or Wayne Gretzky, there is a Ken Holland.  Now think about that for a second.  Clearly, what Holland has done as a General Manager is undisputed.  So here is today’s video and moment.  Here we go.

 

 

July 06, 1983


Detroit signed free agent goaltender Ken Holland, who went on to play 3 games with the Red Wings in 1983-84, finishing with a 4.11 GAA. In 1997 Holland was named the Red Wings General Manager.
