This Day In Hockey History (6/26)

Today’s moment focuses on a player who was such a colossal bust that maybe that is a reason why hockey did not work in Atlanta.  There is bust and then there is BUST.  Now from 12 years ago, we have the following on “THIS DAY”.

 

 

June 26, 1999


At the 1999 NHL Entry Draft in Boston, Atlanta Thrashers used their First Overall pick to select Patrik Stefan. The Thrashers got the pick from a complicated series of trades that resulted in Vancouver using #2 & #3 picks to take the Sedin Twins.
