Pick The Winner

The highlight of the night may have been hitting the over on the Sharks-Devils game and hitting the over on the Pens-Bolts game.  Other than that, it was a melancholy 3-3 on picks but 2-0 on the over/under.  That 5-3 mark brings us to 80-21 on the year.  Ryan Porth I believe is also tearing it up on the RLD site as well with a solid 4-2 night.

Though we hit on the over last night, we grossly underestimated how Joe Thornton just ate the Devils defense alive.  His three goals and two assists were crucial in the 5-2 win over New Jersey.  Contrast that with the highlight of the night as Montreal and Tampa Bay pulled out last minute covers to bail us out of a whole that would have been disaster.

We projected out the moneylines last night.  If I had bet $25 on each pick, I would have made a laughable $12.40 last night.  It does not really sound like much on the surface but hey that is a little over $4000 in a year.  For perspective, I just received a $5000 gift card from Sports Authority in the mail.  So those little winnings do add up and obviously if you win a bit bigger, that is even more money in your bank account and not in the bookie’s.  Doesn’t that make you feel good?  I know it does for me.

There are a few games tonight and we may even sneak in an Over/Under or two.  Time to see what we are made of and then we’ll get straight to our picks.  Time is wasting.
