The Morning After:

Yesterday’s scores:

Predators 4, Lightning 3

Rangers 3, Devils 1

Flames 4, Sharks 0

Predictions record: 1-2

My 3 stars of the night:

1. Henrik Lundqvist, NYR (27 Saves, 1 GA)… ‘The King’ made some big saves for the Rangers to close out a huge win over New Jersey.

2. Rene Bourque, CGY (2 Goals)

3. Anders Lindback, NSH (42 Saves, 3 GA)

Tonight’s Slate:

Flyers @ Blue Jackets, 7:00 ET

Coyotes @ Canadiens, 7:30

Kings @ Wild, 8:00

Game of the Night:

Phoenix Coyotes (2-2-2) @ Montreal Canadiens (4-2-1)

7:30 ET… TV: Local Networks

2009/10 Season Series: 1-0 Canadiens

Players to watch:

PHX- Keith Yandle

Yandle broke out last year, but has just two points and a minus-2 rating.

MTL- Michael Cammalleri

‘Cammer’ is goalless in five, but carries a plus-6 rating.

Projected Goaltenders:

PHX- Ilya Bryzgalov (2010/11 stats: 2-1-2, 2.54 GAA)

MTL- Carey Price (2010/11 stats: 4-2-1, 2.27 GAA)

Injury Report:

PHX- Martin Hanzal (lower body, out)

MTL- Andrei Markov (knee, doubtful)

Game Thoughts:

October 28, 1996… that was the last time the Coyotes won in Montreal. They have a tall task once again as the Canadiens have been solid in the first few weeks. Carey Price has performed beyond what many expected and boasts a 3-0 record against Phoenix. Unless the ‘Yotes can jump out to a lead early, I see the Habs winning a low-scoring contest.

Prediction: Canadiens 3, Coyotes 1

The rest of tonight’s predictions:

Flyers over Blue Jackets

Kings over Wild
