Yes I am back and none too pleased with certain things that have been going on. I am sure by now everyone heard the rant on the podcast about a certain hockey pedophile. There are times in this world where things can get you just so ticked off mostly because of how a “system” that is supposed to protect the public good can fail so bad. These are one of those times.
The true punch to the nuts in all of this is that Grahame James was allowed to coach in Spain and pretty much do whatever he wanted for three years without public knowledge of the pardon. Fair or unfair, he did pay his debt to society but there is one problem. That debt was missing a few additional bills along the way. It will be interesting to see what comes of things when he goes to trial again at some point if not this year, then surely next year.
Basically you know a case has touched a nerve when the Prime Minister of Canada gets involved. That is the point and time where you sit there and go how does a guy like this get a pardon and we have to understand as citizens that this does occur. It does not mean we have to like it or take it lying down. I have decided to at least devote a few minutes each week to this in some way on the podcast until hopefully justice is served. No person should have to be in fear of their attacker and with James loose….some victims I am sure are quite uneasy about all these latest developments.
There are other hockey and personal matters that probably have irked me in the last few weeks but nothing like Mr. James. Its like cutting an open and infected wound then pouring straight salt on it. Sadly I wish there was a quick and easy answer to this but the reality is due speed will not take place. Hopefully at least the justice part will come. That is all we can really ask for at this point.
