The alarm has been officially sounded.
Now will you listen hockey fans? Thanks again to Tom Gulitti, Michelle Kenneth, Richard Chere, and so many others who have been an immense help in this process from the NJ Devils end of things. What a few of us had been saying for the last several months is scarily coming to fruition. There are still ways that this can be easily averted but the fact that things have gone this far is a very bad sign. We can take a look at all these contracts from top to bottom and examine them from side to side. However, there is one thing that has become very clear. Restraint needs to be the word of the day.
Want a definition? Here is one.
- Restraint (n) – 1. the ability to control or moderate one’s impulses, passions, etc
Hey Gary, this one is for you! All we simply ask is hockey fans is to point out the following as well. There is still time to make this right and it involves a considerable amount of restraint by the NHL. For the fans, it is time to let the league know how you really feel. It really comes down to just that.
On a brighter note, it is a new day and go check out hockey at all levels while we can….especially the kids. I sincerely hope they are our future in this sport. All we can hope for now is for a little restraint and a whole lot of patience combined with mobilizing the fans. Let’s do this!
