This Day In Hockey History (6/7)

Today’s moment happened 17 years ago and yes was also the last time a team from Canada won the Stanley Cup.  However, this moment is more amazing for just how many Overtime games this team played on its way to the Stanley Cup.  It is still one of those records likely never to be broken.  Video and moment time.

John LeClair scored at 14:37 of OT to give Montreal a 3-2 win at Los Angeles in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals, and an NHL record 10th straight playoff overtime win. LeClair became just the 2nd player to get two straight OT goals in the Finals.
