The Sharks finally showed some character scoring twice and taking over the game. The shots on goal were close but when Dany Heatley kicked the puck to himself and scored…you knew it was going to be a long night for Ranger fans. When the Sharks scored three straight in the second…it meant the end of Valiquette and time for Henrik Lundqvist to take his lumps too in the third.
All tolled the Sharks won 7-3. The game proved two things. One, anything is possible in the NHL. And two, maybe just maybe the Sharks do have some character in them after all. The question will still linger. Do they have it come playoff time? However that is not the true gist of this post.
The Torts press conference after the game is nothing compared to what you will hear today at practice. If you are lucky enough to hear any of the closed door part….you will hear more F bombs than Scott Gomez and Rick DiPietro combined. Way more! Roger Millions will feel slighted after his word is used more as well. I am going for about 20 uses of profanity with a slight chance of more if someone so much as burps.
