Ducks sign Maxim Kondratiev and Shane Hnidy

The Anaheim Ducks signed two defencemen in Maxim Kondratiev to a one year contract and Shane Hnidy to a two year contract. Kondratiev’s salary is $500,000 and Hnidy’s salary is $750,000 for the first year and $760,000 for the second year.

Kondratiev was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 6th round of the 2001 Entry Draft and has played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers and Anaheim Ducks but he went to play in his native Russia for the 2006-07 season.

Hnidy was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the 7th round of the 1994 Entry Draft and has played for the Ottawa Senators, Nashville Predators and Atlanta Thrashers.
