Without Pronger…the Ducks will need a spark..but from where?
Whether or not you agree with a one game suspension of Chris Pronger…it undoubtedly makes a huge impact on the Ducks. So now, they are without Pronger and Kunitz. When Brian Burke was asked about Pronger’s reaction to the suspension….”He’s sour about it. That’s why he’s not talking to you guys. He’s sour about it. The league doesn’t like us swearing. I don’t want Chris to talk to anyone today.” That was straight off the Ducks website this evening.
So now what about the Ducks chances???? This is Game 4 after all…the Ducks have to win this game. Well honestly all is not lost….they still have Scott Niedermayer, who is I am sure seething after a -3 effort Tuesday night that had people scratching their heads…including teammates. The Ducks have to play with balanced aggression…get some Wings under their skin for a change because that is what they did best in Games 1 and 2. They also need Giguere to play much better than he did in Games 2 and 3. The Wings need to play physical like they did in Game 3 but know when to back off…it worked to perfection Tuesday night. If they keep playing like that, then they may just head back to Detroit up 3 games to 1 with a chance to close the series out Sunday. Who will take this pivotal Game 4…my pick is here with the GWG. But the hockey masses can catch what The NHL Arena is talking about all on the GDT.
