Hockey Roundup — 4/4

After 13 games last night, and yes I most certainly watched them all, the NHL gives the hockey fans a bit of a breather with only 2 games tonight. This will be short and sweet on the Roundup.

Hockey Roundup — April 4th

HEADLINE GAME

San Jose Sharks @ Anaheim Ducks 10pm EDT FSBA,FSPT

Time for Cheechoo and the Sharks to step up against the Ducks.

The Ducks have the chance to clinch their first ever Pacific title tonight. All they have to do is win. Yes I know Dallas could feasibly get six points in their last three…but that is not too likely. So a win in regulation would guarantee no worse than a tie. The Ducks have won 5 of 7 meetings this season basically on the strength of timely yet speedy offense. The goaltending has been better for the Ducks, and yet the Sharks come in the hotter team, going 11-2-1 in their last 14…outscoring opponents 55-21 in that span. Cheechoo, Thornton, and Guerin vs. Kunitz, Selanne, and company….now that is a fun offensive matchup. Giguere and Nabokov are likely the starters tonight so there is nothing lacking there. Just a big old divisional matchup that stands out on a light night of action like this. Let the games begin on the GDT at The NHL Arena.

Washington Capitals @ Atlanta Thrashers 7pm EDT TSN,SS

A light hearted matchup as the Thrashers try to hold off the Bolts for the Southeast Division crown….catch all the action on the GDT.
