Heading For Zero Hour…9am?

With the Stanley Cup Finals now set, we are heading towards the inevitable offseason which by estimates is about two and a half weeks away.  Here at The Program, we will have you covered with some fun things along the way, toss in a few print interviews, some draft and awards preview, and of course our trademark Free Agent Frenzy coverage.  I figure there will be some Coach and General Manager movement as well along the way.

Do not forget that The Program will continue on Sundays and Wednesdays at 8pm ET.  Also, Buddy’s fine show is still rolling on Mondays at 8pm ET and Ryan’s show at 1pm ET on Tuesdays.  Also, we will be working with the bloggers from Bloguin to help mold The Program into a damn fine podcast.  I cannot thank the fine hockey bloggers from there enough for all of their help.

So after the Hawks and Flyers figure out who is ultimately going to take the Stanley Cup, all hockey is not lost.  Sure there will be no more action on the ice but there will be plenty off the ice.  Think about it.  The NHL Draft alone, next month, may just produce more trades than the “staggered” Trade Deadline.  Let’s see.  The Cup Finals, NHL Awards, NHL Draft, Free Agent Frenzy.  It sounds like we will be plenty busy well into July and who knows what other news will break by then.  Players will have their days with the Stanley Cup and rumors will abound from every angle even in the dog days of summer.

Hockey really is year round sport more than ever now.  If you think back to just twenty years ago, it was far from the case.  The reality is any hockey writer has to be on their toes for the next story because it literally could be right under their noses.  Our goal is to provide you the latest as always and then always toss a bit of extra humor in where its needed.

So come aboard with us and hey if you have a story or an idea you want to see on here….don’t hesitate….speak up or forever hold your peace.  Without the reader, we do not have a blog so we appreciate all of the input.  Thank you so much.

Sincerely,

Chris Wassel
