This Day In Hockey Historry (12/5)

Today we have a little fun with our moment as goal streaks are hard to come back, especially when it seems like we consider someone who has a two or three game streak with a goal as being on fire.  Well what would you think about eight or nine in a row?  Today’s moment is from 23 years ago and answers that very question.  First, there is the video and then the gem like always.

 

 

December 05, 1988


Detroit’s Steve Yzerman set a new team record with a goal in his ninth straight game, a 7-2 Red Wings’ loss at Montreal. Yzerman broke the team record of goals in eight straight games set by Gordie Howe in 1952.
