A Hump Day This Day In Hockey History.  Already beyond the midpoint of the month, it is all downhill in June.    So on a cloudy and what looks like to be gloomy day, here is the moment and hey a video too.

 

 

June 16, 1998


Detroit beat the Capitals 4-1 in Game 4 of the Finals for the Red Wings 2nd straight sweep in the Stanley Cup Finals. Steve Yzerman won the Conn Smythe Trophy, and Scotty Bowman tied Toe Blake’s coaching record with 8 Stanley Cup Championships.
