Today’s moment happened just 18 years ago but eerily ties into another player who had an unexpected big night in Vancouver, go figure.  Was it a hat trick?  Perhaps.

 

 

May 06, 1992

Edmonton’s Joe Murphy had three goals and an assist in a 5-2 Oilers’ win over Vancouver, in Game Three of the Smythe Division Finals.
