This Day In Hockey History (5/19)

This moment happened only 15 years ago today and yet it seems like a lifetime ago.  One of these guys is actually still playing in the NHL which is pretty amazing in itself.  Here is the moment and video too.

San Jose goaltender Wade Flaherty made 56 saves in his second playoff start, and Ray Whitney scored the winning goal at 21:54 of overtime as the Sharks won 5-4, at Calgary in Game 7 of the Western Conference Quarter-Finals.

About Chris Wassel

Simply I am a hockey writer who is a jack of all trades. Whether it is draft, fantasy, NHL, KHL, AHL, etc...I probably can write about it. The challenge in hockey is to be able to step out of your comfort zone and write like you are still there. Hopefully you enjoy the humor in the writing on the site and tell your friends. Thanks for reading!
