Don’t forget about our radio show at 1:00 ET TODAY! We’ll have Mark Willoughby from The View from 111 on to promote the important Nashville Tweetup taking place on June 7. Also, John Jaeckel from Hockey Buzz will come on to discuss the Blackhawks. Anthony Curatolo of Joe Depto, two of the Hockey Guys, will be my sidekicks for the day. It should be a good show! Remember, if you can’t listen live, visit the archives and listen there.
The Morning After:
Last night’s scores:
Flyers 4, Canadiens 2
Predictions record: 1-0
My 3 stars from last night:
1. Mike Richards, PHI (1 Goal, 2 Assists)
Richards’ 3-point performance was off the charts, as he was an animal all night.
2. Jeff Carter, PHI (2 Goals)
Carter scored a pair of goals – the game-winner and the clincher.
3.Claude Giroux, PHI (1 Assist)
Like Richards, Giroux was all over the place and deserved to have more than just one assist.
‘RLD Game-Changing Performance’ of the night:
Mike Richards… Montreal got the start they wanted, but four minutes later, it was the beginning of the end for Cinderella. Richards scored a virtual empty-net goal on a crazy sequence in which Halak left his net to play the puck, and ran into his defenseman. Richards pounced, sending the Wachovia Center into a frenzy. Philly never looked back, and is in the finals.
