FH101: The Sweet Escape?

Some news and notes:

Folks go wish the fine blog Japers Rink a Happy 5th Birthday.  Not that many blogs make it a year let alone 5 and the guys there are a real class act.  Also, they tinker a little with fantasy hockey I hear.

I hear a book is coming out spotlighting Devils and all teams’ players in August…..it may have some insight into next season as well.  This book has been written by beat writers from all 30 teams ladies and gentlemen and will be definitely a worthwhile read for all.

I will still be writing for Fantasypros911.com in the Fall.  My “contract” of sorts has been picked up.  We always are working on new and exciting things for the Fall including a potential satellite radio debut.  Stay tuned on that!

Inside Hockey’s fantasy division is almost ready to roll.  We will be unleashing very soon and this really is for all levels but still catered to our core “beginners” audience.

Now on to this week’s article just because we have twenty minutes to give you the Fantasy Hockey blended with the funny too.

July presents The Sweet Escape to us fantasy hockey fans.  What the hecht is that you may ask?  It is a time to reflect and relax just a hair more than we usually do.  This is the time where the “expert” is reloading and coming up with his latest ideas to pitch or maybe a new site to tinker on and help design.  Yes the Free Agent Frenzy still goes and the arbitration process is coming up soon but the reality is this is downtime.

The ideas always roll in but the execution can be often what gets neglected.  However, here at the FH 101, our goal is always to provide you quality fantasy insight without having to thumb thru pages and pages of information.  That is why our podcast always has a fantasy hockey angle to it, even if that is purely unintentional at times.  It is a lot to digest at times and that is why we have the widget on the side of the site here….that makes life easier.

When the IH Fantasy Hockey site launches, we will have some of our fine articles from here but we will also introduce an alternate to the turkeys.  However, we need an animal that screams success!  So if you have a suggestion, by all means bring it to the table.  We are all ears and really could use the aid on this one.  To top things off, we will also be helping the folks at FantasyHockey.com with their stats packet that will come out before drafts get underway.  Do not worry, the information will always flow plenty and here at The Program, it is always free.  We will never charge for premium information.  That is a promise we can keep.

Yes we will even point out hockey equipment as a function of fantasy hockey.  Why?  Because ironically some equipment and training can really help you grow your skill.  Skate a mile in their shoes sometime and it will lend some perspective.  Like I have said, many times it takes just a little bit of understanding to play the game better.  That is what we have on tap.  So now we would love your thoughts and on subsequent podcasts, we will be putting your comments and questions on air.  Hope everyone is enjoying their fantasy hockey vacation as we work hard to bring you the info you need to DOMINATE your leagues.  Aloha for now.

Sincerely,

Chris Wassel
