This Day In Playoff History (5/24)

BallHype: hype it up!

Today is the 24th. This one is a game everyone remembers and well for probably all the wrong and funny reasons. At any rate….video and then the moment on the other side!!!

They were trying to knock each others lights out!

May 24, 1988

The lights went out in Boston at 16:37 of the second period (due to a power outage) with the game tied 3-3 between the Bruins and the Oilers in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals. The scoring totals counted, but the game was replayed.

About Chris Wassel

Simply I am a hockey writer who is a jack of all trades. Whether it is draft, fantasy, NHL, KHL, AHL, etc...I probably can write about it. The challenge in hockey is to be able to step out of your comfort zone and write like you are still there. Hopefully you enjoy the humor in the writing on the site and tell your friends. Thanks for reading!
